Birders, This evening while looking for a Eurasian Wigeon- I found one. The lighting was poor but it appeared that the male Wigeon had weak buff from the forehead to the base of the bill and into its cheek. I am not sure if this is the same bird from the onion fields or not. The male was in the centre of the main marsh with many other ducks.
