There was a single greater white-fronted goose at Narrows Lock today at 1PM. It was among the ~550 Canada geese. All the geese are close enough to shore that a scope is not absolutely necessary. There was also an assortment of other common waterfowl.
Also of note was a two day old white-tailed deer carcass on the ice that is attracting bald eagles, common ravens and American crows. Directions: From Kingston, go north on Highway 15 to Crosby. Turn west on County Road 42. Immediately turn north on Narrows Lock Road. Follow this road to Narrows Lock, about 6 km. The waterfowl and deer carcass can be viewed from the lock station.
