This evening we found the Tundra Swans seen earlier today and also found one Snow Goose amongst them. The swans are viewable from either Ninth Line or 10th Sideroad where they intersect at the south end of Georgetown. It is a bit safer to park on the side of 10th Sideroad or in the subdivision across the street. With binoculars there are far more tundra swans than it appears while driving by. We counted 600+. At first we counted 400 then something spooked birds from the other side of the field and there were many more that we hadn't seen over the hill. There were probably over 1000 Canada Geese in the field as well as a few northern pintail, mallards, killdeer, etc. Directions from 401 - head north on Winston Churchill, head west on Steeles, north on Ninth Line to 10 Sideroad, turn right to find parking on 10 Sideroad or to get to street leading into subdivision.
