Hi

on our way back from Long Point Friday afternoon we found one Eurasian Wigeon
with
22 American Wigeons and 6 Hooded Mergansers in a small wetland conservation
area on County Rd. 45.
The wigeons were quite noisy and flew in and out a couple of times.
A local guy stopped by to tell us that the water was full of bass which might
explain why off to the right of the wetland is an
occupied Bald Eagle's nest and we watched the sitting adult for several minutes
in our scope.
We drove 1/4 km past to an open area hoping to find the Eagle's mate and saw 4
additional adult eagles and one
juvenile.
Directions: Highway 59 south of Langton, go east on County Rd. 45. Wetland is
on left hand side before you get to East 1/4 Line Rd.
