Hi there, Today (March 31st, 2013) from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM, I, in some cases observed, in some cases heard:
Song Sparrow (6-8, in song) Killdeer (4) Great Blue Heron (1, fly-over) Wood Duck (m/f pair in a creek along Steeple Hill - 2km S of Steeple Hill/Fallowfield) Prairie Horned Lark (4+, males on territory along Rushmore) I was out for a morning run, sans iPod. Nice little contingency of spring-time birds along the way! Happy Easter, Jon Ruddy Directions: From 416, exit Fallowfield, then W along Fallowfield until you reach Steeple Hill Crescent, S onto Steeple Hill. Follow Steeple Hill to Rushmore, then W along Rushmore. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
