Further to Ian Cannell's message - I went to look for this bird on Centre
Island in the afternoon and was lucky to have one brief sighting on the south
side of the New Island School at roughly 3 pm. In spite of much searching by
myself and others in the general area for the next 2-3 hours the bird was not
relocated. It was bitterly cold and rather windy so it seems likely the bird
was sheltering in some hidden part of the school complex. With slightly better
weather forecast for tomorrow the chances of relocating the bird may improve…
Good luck!

The ferries to Centre Island depart from the foot of Bay Street in Toronto.
Once on the Islands walk in a westerly direction to reach the New School, which
is just east of the fenced-off filtration Plant.

Cheers,

Dave Beadle
