I was quite pleasantly surprised while driving north, about a kilometer north of the intersection of HWY 48 (Main Street Markham, aka Markham Road) and 16th Avenue. The bird was flying eastward, at 10:45 a.m.
No way of knowing where it was going, just rather unusual to see a Bald Eagle around here. Highway 48 runs north and south, 16th Avenue is the first major east-west road north of Highway 7.
