Hello birders,

I was birding TTP today and on my way back to my car a few people told me a
about a starnge bird seen feeding with some Brown-headed Cowbirds. So I
checked it out and sure enough it was a female BLUE GROSBEAK. The bird was
seen around 1:30 PM today at the gate where the new building is. To the
east of the building there is a large hill, beside the hill there is just
some gravel and dirt, and the bird was frequently feeding on grit here.
This spot is just off the main road, usually there are cowbirds and
Red-winged Blackbirds around feeding as well and some Rock Pigeons. The
BLUE GROSBEAK was a larger than sparrow sized bird mostly brown with a blue
rump, and dark wing bars, very heavy bill.
photos were taken. If anyone would like to see them let me know.

TTP is at the base of Leslie St in Toronto just off Lakeshore road, Take
the QEW through Toronto until it changes to Lakeshore then go south on
Leslie until you hit the park.
