Hi there: Yesterday and today (April 27 & April 28) I birded A) throughout a cousin's 200 acre farm, which is located 5 KM SE of Nipissing, ON and B) along the south-eastern-most shoreline of Lake Nipissing. A total of 75 species were seen/heard. Highlights include:
Northern Shrike (1) seen from Stiller Side Rd, which is S of the 534. Evening Grosbeak (3) 9 species of sparrows, including Vesper and Fox 3 species of warblers, including Yellow-rumped, Palm, and Pine Caspian Tern (2) seen from the south shore of Lake Nipissing (Lake Nipissing/Promised Land Rd) Sandhill Crane (2) seen from Stiller Side Rd Barred Owl (2) heard from Stiller Side Rd Directions: From Highway 17 - S on Highway 11 to local road 534. West on 534 to local road 654. N on 654 into Nipissing. N on Lake Nipissing Rd which leads to the SE point of Lake Nipissing.
