Birders,

I located a Glossy Ibis earlier today while trying to track down an American
Avocet (which I never found) at Pither's Point Park in Ft. Frances. The bird
was feeding at the edge of the flooded baseball diamond just north of the
railway, though it was last seen flying south over Rainy Lake at ~6:15pm (May
1st).

Also of potential interest was a single Eared Grebe on Rainy Lake.

Directions: Pither's Park is located in the east end of Ft. Frances and can be
accessed by turing east off of Hwy 11 onto Lake Rd. The Eared Grebe was viewed
near the intersection of Colonization Rd East and Hwy 11.
