Hello birders. Sorry for the late posting. A KIRTLAND'S WARBLER was found at lunchtime up at the Northwest Beach near the top of the parking lot.
The Tip was very active this morning. A strong southwest wind resulted in a reverse movement of many birds and species. Included were ORIOLES, INDIGO BUNTING, EASTERN MEADOWLARK, BOBOLINK, and warblers, most notably CANADA WARBLER. Other birds at the Tip included LITTLE GULL, SANDERLING, on the beach and CANADA and CERULEAN WARBLERS, SCARLET TANAGER, among other migrants. The Woodland Nature Trail had WORM-EATING, BLUE-WINGED, MOURNING and PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, People reporting from Tilden Woods had PHILADELPHIA VIREO, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, NORTHERN PARULA and WILSON'S WARBLER, among other migrants.
