Other shorebirds seen

6 Semipalmated Sandpipers
45 White-rumped Sandpipers (flock)
2 Ruddy Turnstones
1 Semipalmated Plover

No Whimbrel were counted on Tuesday, 28 May, despite long coverage at
Colonel Sam by Albert Kuhnigk, Wayne Renaud and others.

We are close to the end of the 2013 Toronto Whimbrel Watch. We will know
later whether any Whimbrels leave Virginia's Eastern Shore, USA, this
evening.

Directions: In Toronto, Colonel Sam Smith Park is where Kipling Avenue ends
at Lake Ontario, south of Lake Shore Blvd. Walk a short distance from south
parking lot to the point of land jutting into Lake Ontario.

Happy Whimbrel Watching,

Jean Iron
Toronto
