Dwayne Murphy and I heard (and recorded) a Chuck-will's-widow tonight at around 6:00 pm behind the visitor centre at Rondeau Park. It was calling full and partial calls for at least 10 minutes while we stood there. We heard it best from the edge of the visitor centre parking lot between the visitor centre building and the start to Tulip Trail.
Rondeau Park is located in Morpeth. Take Kent Bridge Rd southeast from Hwy 401 and follow the signs to Rondeau Provincial Park.
