Just had 2 juv. Long-tailed Jaegers harrassing the gulls & terns on the rocks at very tip of Kettle Point. Viewed for about 10 min from less than 150 m at times. Also a single Whimbrel hanging around for past 45 min., Ruddy Turnstone earlier in aft, and Sanderling just landed on rocks as I write. Haven't seen the jaegers for past 15 min or so.
Kettle Point is nw off Hwy 21 onto Cty Rd 7, n on W Ipperwash, West on Indian to Lake Rd, then north to the point. Rubber boots or bare feet needed to get way out on the pony for best viewing, Location Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
