Hi All

In general shorebirds have been a bit sparse this week, though good close views
of Semipalmated Plover, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Baird's
Sandpiper, Sanderling and Spotted Sandpiper can be had from Owen Pt.

Normally Gull Island is opened up on Sept 11th for public exploration, but due
to recent events it will remain closed until further notice. When it does open
again you can anticipate a 150 meter wade, with water as deep as 1 metre. This
is a trip not recommended in wavy conditions. Access to Owen Point remains
open.

Presqu'ile can be reached by turning south off the 401 at exit 509, Hwy 30, 2
hours east of Toronto, and following the signs south through the town of
Brighton. Maps of the park are available at the front gate.
