Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 14:45:00
Total observation time: 7.75 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Fred Kirn, Jim Lynch, John Elliott

Visitors:
It was great to see Rodney Laura back by the boat launch. A few others
stopped by as well.

Weather:
Balmy and humid, lingering fog made for another visibility-challenged
outing. Toward the end of the watch, approaching rain chased us away. The
wind, light to moderate, was highly variable.

Raptor Observations:
A smattering of Sharp-shinned Hawks and not much else.

Non-raptor Observations:
Tree and Northern Rough-winged Swallows were abundant out over the lake.

Predictions:
After the warmer weather the last two days, a cold front should be pouring
into the area overnight. For tomorrow, it looks like mostly cloudy skies
with mild temps, moderate west wind and a slight chance of rain. If the
rain holds off, it could be a pretty productive day. Come on out and enjoy
the first day of HawkFest weekend.
