Weather: Cloudy to partly cloudy skies with temperatures ranging from 16.5-20.4 C. 10 km/h W winds moved to NW at 15 km/h. Barometric pressure rose slowly from 29.61 to 29.67. We had a few drops of rain during the noon hour. Raptor Observations: Variety was the order of the day with 12 species of raptors highlighted by 5 Peregrine Falcons and our 7th Swainson's Hawk of the season! Non-raptor Observations: American Goldfinch led the the way with 72 individuals, followed by 70 European Starlings, 54 Tree Swallows, 47 Red-winged Blackbirds, and 37 Chimnney Swifts. Additional species included Mute Swan-35, Wood Duck-6, Blue-winged Teal, Great Egret, American Coot-60, Ring-billed Gull-23, Caspian Tern-3, Morning Dove-2, Ruby-throated Hummingbird-2, Belted Kingfisher, Downy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker-3, Barn Swallow-2, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-2. 5 Monarchs. Predictions: Looks good! Partly cloudy skies with temperatures from 11-15 C.
