The adult Ross’s Goose was present again at the Almonte Sewage Lagoons today until 3:25 when it flew off to the North-West with a large group of Canada Geese.
The Ross’s did not associate at all with the 11 Snow Geese present. It stayed with the Canadas quite separate from the Snow Geese and left with the Canadas. Directions: Take Wolf Grove Rd south-west from the intersection of Hwy 29. Take the next right on to Concession 8. There is a trail sign on the right about 1 km from the intersection. Follow the trail to the viewing platform. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
