I flushed an adult Le Conte's Sparrow from tall grass on the fringe of a meadow
near the Bond Head golf course reservoir around noon today. I didn't report
earlier as I just got back into internet range.

The bird flew to a sunny, eye-level perch in a leafless bush at a range of
under 20 feet. I observed it extremely well (10 x 42s) through a light screen
of twigs for at least a full minute before the bird dropped down to the tall
grass. All diagnostic field marks seen well.

Bond Head is due west of Bradford and the 400 and north of Schomberg. The golf
course reservoir is about a kilometre west of the village crossroads on the 7th
Line.
