I was surprised to find a Ross's Goose today at about 11:45 feeding on a lawn with 200 Canada Geese beside the leash-free area at Lakeside Park in Mississauga. Modest care needed not to flush the geese. Resident Peregrine Falcons (2) were also active and roosting on the Holcim cement factory structures. Best viewed off Arrowhead Road north of Lakeshore.

Earlier in Port Credit I saw a female King Eider at a distance of 50 feet from the end of the east side promenade on Credit River (Snug Harbour). At least 4 Yellow-rumped Warblers were active in the Snug Harbour parking lot.

Directions - Goose from QEW exit at Southdown Road south to Lakeshore Road - park in the first lot on the left (Lakeside Park)

Directions - Eider from QEW exit Hurontario south past Lakeshore - take first right and drove west to end of road at Stavebank - left into Snug Harbour restaurant parking lot aka JJ Plaus Park
