Hi there,

Sorry for the late post; I'm just getting in from work.

I am very happy to report that today (Dec 13) at 4:12 PM, I relocated the
dark morph RTHA, albeit, not in the same location as before. I merged onto
the 416 at Fallowfield, heading N, and watched a dark hawk in the distance
flying towards the west side of the highway, roughly 1.5 km N of the
Fallowfield merge. As I neared the bird (it was still in flight) I was able
to see that it was spot-on; same bird...it's been re-found! Here's hoping
that the rodent pop. in the area will hold it down. Hopefully others will
be able to enjoy views of this gorgeous specimen.

To note, today's sighting location is only 4-5 km N, as-the-crow-flies,
from the Trail Rd. Quarry area.

Directions: (As per those given on Neilyworld.com): From Highway 416 take
exit 66 (Fallowfield Road). If southbound, a 0.4 km offramp dumps onto
Fallowfield, where you will turn right or west. If northbound, the 0.4 km
offramp brings you to Fallowfield, where you will turn left or west onto it
and in 0.5 km join the southbound offramp traffic. Both groups will now
follow Fallowfield Road west for an additional 0.4 km to reach Moodie
Drive. Turn left or southeast onto Moodie Drive and go 5.3 km, passing
Cambrian Road to reach the quarries (second gate on the left). Park along
the side of the road without blocking the access.

Good birding,
Jon Ruddy
