Location: Mt. Carmel Road (Huron and Middlesex County border), west of Cedar Swamp Rd. and east of hamlet of Corbett. This location is approximately one minute from Hwy 81 (Grand Bend Rd) if you turn onto Mt. Carmel Rd and head east. Alternately, go north on Hwy 4 to Mt. Carmel Rd; travel time to location appoximately 20 minutes. Female snowy owl on south side of road near farm with long lane (first farm west of Cedar Swamp Rd. on south side; may be Kaak on the barn, used to be Joe Hodgins' place). Owl was sighted on hydro pole and went hunting in field, landing on visible plow furrow. Sighting time: 12:58 p.m. Date: December 26, 2013 Poor quality cell picture below.
