Exploring the maze of roads in and around the Holland Marsh (south end of Lake
Simcoe) near Bradford, along both sides of Hwy. 400, and north to Ravenshoe
Road produced some good winter birding (20 spp.).
1 Rough-legged Hawk (dark phase)
7 Snowy Owls (only one of these at Ravenshoe Rd.)
2 Northern Shrikes
1 White-crowned Sparrow
30 Lapland Longspurs
70 Snow Buntings
