The Chipping Sparrow sighting was in error. It was a female House Sparrow. Before you laugh, consider that in North Bay, the House Sparrow has all but disappeared. This is the first time it has been seen on the North Bay CBC since 2001. Before 1999 it was seen on all counts, with two being count week birds.
