Ongoing Fox Sparrow in Olympic Woods present today from 1:30pm - 2:15. Made multiple trips to "feeder" staying 1-2 min scratching under bushes. Frequency of visits - 5-7 min intervals.
Also at same spot: Red-winged Blackbird (male). Has 1 drooping wing. Plus: Tree Sparrows, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Chickadees, White-throated Sparrows & others Directions: from Main St W go North on Cootes drive. Rt on Olympic Dr (1st light at bottom of hill) Park behind arena on right - less than km up Olympic. Walk up powerline, field on your left. At creek valley edge turn right & follow trail thru forest to next powerline cut.
