Hello.

There has been an extremely dark morph red-tail/Harlan's hawk (I'm not wading
into that debate - just noting the bird!) in Chatham-Kent for the past two
days. The bird is almost entirely black and does not have streaking on its
breast or throat area. The primaries are a striking white.

Directions: The bird is hunting along the 401 corridor near the 98 km marker.
I have seen it perched along both sides of the highway and hovering in fields
nearby.

Cheers,
Melisse DeDobbeleer
