I decided to check out Gil Maure park in LaSalle at noon time. 2 Red-necked Grebes were present. There was also a huge raft of ducks, mainly Canvasbacks but Greater Scaup and Redheads in the mix. At least 1000 total. Common Goldeneyes and Common mergansers were there as well.
2 Bald Eagles were present … one adult and one immature. Photos of the grebes are on my flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/53581677@N04 Gil Maure marina is located in LaSalle, ON and the map for this location is here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/42°14'15.4%22N+83°06'20.3%22W/@42.2376258,-83.1056402,13z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0 Cheers, Karen Hass _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
