I did a quick walk to Bronte Harbour after work today (5PM) and was able to
locate four King Eiders in the scaup raft offshore. There were two young males
with orange bills and two females. When I was there a telescope was very useful
for seeing them but on other occasions they have been quite close to shore.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville) and go south to the lake and
walk out on the pier. The area is also served by Oakville Transit routes 2 and
14 from the Bronte and Oakville GO stations respectively.
