After a quick drive around area north of Bradford I came across a pair of Sandhill Cranes in a spot where I've seen them before at the corner of the 12th Line of Bradford West Gwillimbury and the 20th Concession beside the house to the east of the RR track. There were several Wood ducks and S. Phoebe there as well. Also at the end of the 13th Line of Bradford there were numerous flocks of Green-winged Teal, N. Pintail, R.N.Ducks, L. Scaup, Bufflehead, and a few C. Goldeneye and a Common Merganser in the wet fields. Go east from Hwy. 400 on Regional Rd. 88 to the intersection with Hwy. 11. Turn left and go to the 12th Line and turn right. Stay on the 12th Line and just as you cross the RR tracks at the 20th Conc. look straight ahead in the wet field beside the house on the right. As well, the R.billed Gull colony beside the Walmart in Bradford is starting up season 2...with mixed reviews from the CIBC Bank, I'm sure!
