I was birding in the Thickson's woods area and was surprised to come across a 
blue-headed vireo. The bird was seen at around 3:00pm and was foraging in a 
small tree on the woodland trail. 

Other interesting birds in the woods today were:
EASTERN PHOEBE 
GREAT-HORNED OWL
PINE WARBLER
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER

The warblers were singing and the owl was calling. It was a great day.

DIRECTIONS: Thickson's woods,Whitby, Ontario. Take the 401 and exit Thickson 
road. Go southbound through two sets of lights and the entrance to the woods is 
on your left.
