On a blustery, sunny morning today, I found a pair of Eastern Bluebirds on
High Road, south of the Ottawa Airport. The pair tried at several nesting
boxes to oust Tree Swallows, with some success. Also Barn Swallows at the
barn on the corner of Earl Armstrong and High Road and several Eastern
Meadowlarks in the adjacent meadows.

High Road Directions:

Travel south on Albion Road to the racetrack. High Road cuts north at a
sharp angle from here. Continue north past the junction with Earl
Armstrong Road to end of High Road.

Alternately:

Travel south on Riverside until it becomes Limebank, then left on Leitrem
along the southern perimeter of Ottawa Airport.
Take the first right; this is Bowesville.Travel south to Earl Armstrong
then east to High Road. Turn left on High Road and park at the end.
