The male hooded warbler was seen at the same location today, at ~11:45 am, by at least 3 birders.
It was feeding on the midges on the riverbank, on the ground, directly across from the white farmhouse. After 10 mins, it subsequently flew up into the deciduous and coniferous trees, and was hopping between trees, moving North within the park. >From previous post: The bird was found and photographed in the Fallowfield area off Steeple Hill Crescent along the Jock River at Terry Carisse Park. Direction: From Ottawa take Hwy 417 west to Hwy 416 south to Fallowfiled Road. Turn right and follow west past Moodie Drive and watch for Steeple Hill Crescent and turn left. The park is on your left as you cross over the Jock River. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
