My wife and I made a trip to Goderich today to fins the
White-faced Ibis. We met a couple of other birders while we were there,
Bill and Marlene Pace. We watched the birds as they flew in and did a
couple of flypasts and then settled on the edge of the pond to feed.
They were very busy feeding in the shallows. Phots were taken and will
post when I have downloaded thm to my computer. While there Bill told us
about the Yellow-throated Warbler at a house in Amberly, so we stopped
on our way home to find this bird as well. Two good birds for our area.
What a great day to find bothe these birds.
The Ibis were in the same
location as reported earlier, and the Yellow-throated Warbler at a house
in the back yard. Park on the road or in the driveway and walk to the
back of the house, at 3060 Amberly Road, jsut east of Amberly.
