I was watched and listened to approx. 50 raucous Rusty Blackbirds at 11:45
today on the Ashton Station Road. Mixture of males and females.
Directions: Head west from Ottawa on 417 to Hwy 7 and continue west on HWY 7
until Ashton Station Road. Exit south and go to the village of Ashton. After
the center of the village the road bends right and uphill but you bear left to
continue on Ashton Station Road. Go south until Malloch Lane and then continue
slowly checking the road sides for the next 1 Km max. Also 2 Northern
Waterthrushes calling there as well.
