At 9:45 am this morning I saw a BLACK VULTURE in Haliburton. It was being chased by a raven. When seen it was flying eastward over a subdivision known as the Halbiem area, on the west side of Head Lake (which is in the centre of the village).
Haliburton is about 2.5 hours NNE of the GTA. From Lindsay, go north on Hwy 35 to Minden, then northeast on 21 to Haliburton. The Halbiem area is just past the Independent grocery store and is on the west side of Head Lake. >From Bancroft, go west on 118 to Haliburton. From Peterborough go north on 36, then north of 507 to Gooderham, west on 503 to Glamorgan Road, north on Glamorgan to 118 and then west to Haliburton. Sorry, it's a complicated place to get to but worth the trip! -- Dan http://danbusby.ca http://500px.com/DanBusby _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
