This morning at 8:30 I found a Mourning Warbler in the NE corner of the Radar Dome enclosure east of High Road, south of the Ottawa Airport. The bird came out into a low shrub for a first view than flew up to a high branch affording a second good look. There was also a Grasshopper Sparrow in the field south of the road to the radar enclosure.
Directions: Travel south on Riverside until it becomes Limebank then left on Earl Armstrong. Travel east past Bowesville Road to High Road. Turn left on High Road and park at the end. Alternately: Travel south on Albion Road to the racetrack. High Road cuts north at a sharp angle from here. Continue north past the junction with Earl Armstrong Road to end of High Road. There is good parking along High Road. Walk down the hill on the road to the Radar Dome and go left around the encloser to the back left (NE) corner of the fence. Brian Mortimer 964 Normandy Cresc.
