It should be clarified that the bird appears to be a first spring
male.  While it was first singing when discovered by Jeff Harrison
early this afternoon, it was not singing at the time of our
observation between 4:15 and 5:15 pm.  At the latter time, it flew
westwards from the Eastern Gap and gave a brief flight note.  It did
not appear to fly far.  There are plenty of midges in the area where
the warbler was feeding.  As well as Scots Pine, it was seen
habituating Black Willow and Cottonwood trees, sometimes rather high
up, although it tended to stay at or below 5 m. from the ground.
