This evening, about 6:30 PM, Hans VanderZweep and I saw several shorebirds
along the north and west sides of the east cell in the Alfred Lagoons. We had 2
short-billed dowagers, 4 semi-palmated sandpipers,one Wilson.s snipe and 6
spotted sandpipers along with a good variety of ducks and ducklings..To get to
the Lagoons, go east through Alfred and turn right on Peat Moss Rd. The Lagoon
entrance is about one km. south. Good birding, Bob Scranton
