A flock of 2 males and 15 young/female plumaged Bobolinks were seen in a grassy
field along Snider Road in the NW corner of Prince Edward County on Sunday
13th. Further to the post by the Kerr's this does seem to be a good year for
Bobolink. Haying has just started here in the last week - encouragingly late
and I think/hope most field birds have fledged. This road also has Grasshopper
and Savannah Sparrows and Meadowlarks. Other fallow fields in the area have
similar birds.

To reach Snider Road exit the 401 at Wooler Road near Trenton, travel south to
Hwy 33 turn right, go through Carrying Place to Victoria Road, turn left and 5
minutes down the road on right is Snider Road. Total time is 20 minutes from
401.
