  The Buffalo Bird Report is a service provided by your
  Buffalo Museum of Science and the Buffalo Ornithological
  Society. To contact the Science Museum, call 896-5200. Press
  the pound key to report sightings before the end of this
  report.

  Highlights of reports received July 24 through July 31 from
  the Niagara Frontier Region.

  In the Tonawanda Wildlife Management Area, July 28, a REEVE,
  the female of the RUFF species, at West Ruddy Marsh, south
  of Route 77 and east of Griswold Road.

  Recent shorebird highlights at the Ruddy Marshes included
  WILSON'S PHALAROPE, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, SHORT-B.
  DOWITCHERS and STILT SANDPIPERS.

  On the Lake Erie shore of Ontario, a single WHIMBREL on July
  29, in Port Colborne, Ontario, between Lorraine and Weaver
  Roads.

  The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening, August 7.
  Please call in your sightings by noon Thursday. You may
  report sightings after the tone. Thank you for calling and
