At 2 pm this afternoon, there were at least 6 American Golden Plovers in a very damp field on the sod farms on the east side of South Gower Boundary Rd just south of French Settlement Rd. This is likely the same location as reported in the Ottawa Regional report of Aug 28.
Directions: >From Ottawa exit Hwy 416 at Hwy 43 just south of the Rideau River. Travel east on Hwy 43 about 4 km to Boundary Road and turn left (north). The destination is about 3 km north, just before French Settlement Road. You can also reach South Gower Boundary Road by travelling south from Ottawa on River Road.
