The juvenile YCNH showed well from the viewing platform from 0730 to 0900
today. It was standing ( and sleeping after a while) on the log in the pond at
Col Sam Smith. 2 juvenile black-crowned night herons were roosting in trees and
seen easily from the same platform on the east side of the pond.
Also seen along the path from the southernmost parking lot to the pond were 2
warbler species: 1 Canada warbler, 1 female blackthroated blue warbler; 3 grey
catbirds and 4 cedar waxwings.
