Kevin McLaughlin emailed to advise of an adult Glossy Ibis at Windermere Basin off Eastport Drive in Hamilton. The bird was seen today at 7:55 am. It was feeding in the distance to the left of the view seen from the observation deck.
Directions: Take QEW west to QEW Niagara to Eastport Drive, continue over the lift bridge, past the 4 way stop on Eastport. The entrance to Windermere Basin is hidden but it is on your right about 1km after the stop sign. It is just a short distance after the RV centre where the Snowy Owl had been seen near Pier 25 south. If you prefer to go over the skyway bridge, exit at Woodward, make a right as you get off the ramp and woodward turns into Eastport. Entrance to the basin will be on your left a short way down. Walk out on the path toward the steel mills to the observation area. Cheryl Edgecombe posting for K. McLaughlin (nice find!!!) --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
