Weather: A calm and clear day with no wind until 10am when it picked up at 6km/h from the SE. Visibility was around 17km. Raptor Observations: 3 species of raptors came through for a total of 11 birds. 4 Northern Harriers, 3 Sharp-shinned Hawks and 4 Merlins. Resident Osprey and Bald Eagles are still giving fishing displays during less busy times. Non-raptor Observations: There was a fair amount of activity in the willows this morning including flycatchers and warblers (American Redstarts, Magnolia Warblers and Wilson's Warblers). 247 Cedar Waxwings were seen flying west as well as 73 Swallows of various species. 2 Sandhill Cranes flying by were a treat to see.
