It is with great sadness that I am reporting that my friend Dennis Duckworth passed away on September 15th. He died peacefully and pain free Monday night after a lengthy illness. Anne Pinteric, his partner and soul mate for more years than I can remember, was at his side throughout his long ordeal . Dennis will always be remembered as a keen birder who saw every bird and knew everyone. He was a long-time friend to so many of Ontario's “older” birding crowd and will be sadly missed. There will be a funeral on Saturday September 20 at 11:00 am at St. Georges On-the-Hill Anglican Church at 4600 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke M9A 1A5 Reception to follow. A notice will be posted in the Toronto Star in the coming days.
