The expected rain didn't chase us away until just before our normal shut down time. Moderate with a few strong gusts, the wind was mostly out of the west. Raptor Observations: There was limited movement for a second straight day. Besides Sharp-shinned Hawks, little was moving with consistency. American Kestrel and Cooper's Hawk migration continues to be minimal. Non-raptor Observations: Blue Jay (800+) Predictions: Partly cloudy with moderate northwest wind. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org Site Description: The Detroit River Hawk Watch (a joint venture of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge and its Friends group, the International Wildlife Refuge Alliance) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
