**This message has been approved by the Ontbirds moderator** Hello Ontario birders,
For those of you attending the OFO conference in Ottawa this weekend I will be running two eBird (www.ebird.ca) drop-in sessions where you can show up and just play with eBird, ask questions about how to do whatever it is you want to do with eBird, or have a quick walkthrough of the main features. I will also be demonstrating the yet-to-be-released eBird targets feature, which lets you generate a list of probable targets for any place on earth based on eBird data and your life/year lists. If you have existing bird records on your computer (e.g. in a spreadsheet or a commercial listing program like Avisys) feel free to bring a copy of them on a USB drive or a disk and I will help you upload them to eBird at the meeting. If you have bird records on your computer but won't be attending the conference, I am happy to upload them for you - just send me an email. The details of the drop-in sessions are: Friday 5pm-6 at the Sportsplex before the buffet begins Saturday 4-5pm at the Sportsplex before dinner begins Just ask for me or look for the table with a bunch of laptops set up. There will be some information at the registration table as well. If you have questions beforehand don't hesitate to contact me by email ( [email protected]). --------------------------------------------------------- Mike Burrell [email protected] http://mikeburrell.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
