Weather:
We had some clouds in the sky to start the day but by the early afternoon
it was sunny and clear. The wind was moderate and mostly out of the west.
Raptor Observations:
The vultures have arrived. From the late morning on, there were few moments
when there wasn't one in view. Kettle after kettle circled up over Celeron
Island and then streamed their way south. And hidden among them came an
assortment of Broad-winged, Red-tailed and Sharp-shinned Hawks as well as a
nice number of Northern Harriers.
Non-raptor Observations:
Sandhill Crane (3), Common Loon (2), Killdeer (67), Blue Jay (15000+),
Red-winged Blackbird (1700+)
Predictions:
Mostly sunny with light north wind.
