Birders,

After a very similar showing this morning, a group of 5 birders(including
Rich "Hup Hup" Poort),had both Pomarine Jaeger and Parasitic Jaeger at the
Lakeland centre at Van Wagners on the Beach this evening. Winds were strong
from the N, turning slightly NE.

The winds are forecast to be similar all night and for tomorrow so I would
expect that similar birds will be seen tomorrow for our faithful lake
watchers. The conditions and timing are ideal for Brant and Pomarine
Jaegers, and can you say maybe a Northern Gannet? I can say it, sure, but
I'd rather just see one.

Directions to Van Wagners Beach which I stole from a very old post.
Take the Centennial Parkway (Hwy.20) exit
from the QEW in east Hamilton and proceed north to the North Service Rd.,
turn left and continue west as it turns into Van Wagners Beach Road.
Continue to the parking lots at either Hutch's Restaurant or the Lakeland
Centre viewing tower and view the lake anywhere near here.
