The Cattle Egret continues to offer excellent views today. I have been asked by the Director of Golf at Carruthers's Creek Golf and C.C. to remind birders that the golf course is private property and YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION to enter onto the golf course (fairways, rough, greens or pathways). You DO HAVE permission to view from Bayly or the Club Parking Lot near the Pro Shop. Also I spoke to the manager at Vandermeer’s Nursery and Garden Centre and they said it is okay to park in their lot as long as you don’t block any roadways and pls park along the south edge of the lot beside Bayly. Pls respect the wishes of the property owners and be careful crossing Bayly as it is four lanes and busy.
At the hawk watch today – quiet but two Peregrine Falcons put on a nice show and four Tundra Swans flew over. Only 3 migrating Red-tailed Hawks noted. Directions: take 401 to Salem Rd. South. Turn left (east) on Bayly to the intersection with Lakeridge Rd. Turn right and park at the golf course and look north.
